Has anyone had any success with using the WAN port on an MXe to either browse SSH or FTP to the system? (remote management)

I have a customer that would like to access the 3300 via the WAN port from a seperate management VLAN.
The MXe is in a DMZ and they are very reluctant to open any TCP ports on to their LAN that might impact security.
However if they can use the WAN port for managing the system this might be the ideal solution for them.
PPTP is not an option as the system will be on a VLAN

Any help appreciated.

So far I only used the port forwarding from the WAN port to port 443 for the web page, but it should work for ftp as well..

Firewall has to be enabled I believe, then you'd set up a rule to point port 21 to the internal IP of the controller on port 21 as well..

Be aware that changes to this form somehow are not instant, wait a few minutes before trying it out.

Firewall enabled mmmm....
Perhaps that is where I have gone wrong as I have disabled it.

I will take another look and report back
