Hello all... I have inherited a cisco router and from I understand we have a number of usable internet ips. I know that one is coded to our ISA server which has two NIC's ...one on the wan and one on the internal network --- the one on the wan is directly connected to the interface on the router that holds the base public ip (lowest #)... but I would like to nat one of the other internet ip's to a specific internal network ip... Can someone tell me how I can configure this...thanks

Just a couple basic questions.

is this just a matter of using Cisco Security Device manager (on the router) to configure an ip (static?) for the purpose you need?

(or maybe PAT involved if you want to use an already in-use ip?)

if you have SDmanager on the router, it'll virtually talk you through it. You already have a list of inside-global, routable, ip's (I assume) which you can use? (unless you need them all calculated for you?). If you need the ip's calculated post the WAN ip and mask and I'll give you a list.

sorry for such a delayed response StvRich.... I just jumped on here to check my current email address for notifications and noticed that I have it set to an email that I dont forward to my phone anymore... so I was not aware of your response until just now.... First off... thank you for your willingness to help me... (I very much appreciate it...)

The router is a ASA 5510 and I have the ADSm 6.2.5 running on it.... I have a block of IP's... I think the wan is a /24 ... but part of my problem may also be the current config.... I could send you the entire config if that would help... I would rather not post it publicly though.... I can email you a text file instead....

Thanks again... by the way... I may again be a little slow to respond as just yesterday our mail server crashed and right now I am working overtime around the clock to try and get a new one setup and our old information store restored.... so please forgive me in advance for possible another slow response... thanks -Matt Montalto
