waiting for the windows user account to be synchronized

Good Morning all,


I am new to SMS 2003 and i seem to be having a problem. I have a Virtual Server 2005 with 3 gig of memory installed on it. I am trying to install SMS2003 onto this server without any luck. I completed all the questions regarding installation and then i get to the "waiting for the windows user account to be synchronized sms". It has been over 20 hours without any progress. Our domain is not that big so i can't see it taking that long. Would there be something that i am doing wrong ( more then likely ). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

unfortunately I have never used a VS with a sms setup (other than in a class room where it performed terribly, there were bad connectivity problems but I kinda felt that was the way MS setup it up)...
Perhaps someone over at has
