Hi,

I have a small issue concerning VNCing to my server, which is directly connected to the ethernet port on the Linksys WAG54G.

Linksys support is unable to help.

I want to vnc to my PC/server. The VNC configs are correctly set because I've tested this using a US Robotics router/modem and a C827-H.

I configured the port number, 5900 for vnc, in 'port triggering' as recommended by Linksys support but ths doesn't work. I've also tried single port forwarding and port range forwarding.

All firewalls are disabled on both the PC/server and Linksys.

Access to the server is through a DNS service.

Any ideas? Anyone come across this problem?

I have 3 pcs on my network each of which have vnc with ports 5700 5800 and 5900 and i have a linksys router.

You can try the following options:

First go to linksys website and make sure u have the latest firmware.

-log in the router and put the pc ip in the DMZ and then try to vnc.

If you dont want to put the server in the DMZ , try changing the port so vnc listens on some other port and then forward that port to your server from the router

Hopefully this should solve the problem for you.
