We're having a printing issue with Windows 98SE. Our user is using a HP Laserjet 9000DN. We have multiple users on Windows 98, same image, printing to the same printer withouth any issues. The error is below.

"The was an error writing to\\Servname\abdhplj9000 for printer (HP Laserjet 9000 PS). There was a problem printing to the printer due to an unknown system error. Restart Windows, and then try printing again. This printer will be set to work offline."

This is the only user experiencing this problem, any help on this would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

thanks in advance,

OS's are funny. Two machines that are imaged can still have different results. Have you tried using the PCL driver on this one machine?

Later we had found out that it was a rights issue..We decided to have our tech connect to the printer under her ID on the same machine and she connected. Low and behold it was solved. I kind of hoped that would have been checked much earlier.
thanks,
