W3828 Unable to find this media or blank media

We are running ArcServe 2000 with W2K on an ADIC tape library. Everytime we attempt to run full backups over the weekend we get the W3828 error. This is very strange b/c the incremental backups we run during the week are fine. For weekend backups we us three tapes in slots 1,2,and 3. The first two slots are fine, but when the 3rd tape gets mounted for backup thats when the errors occur. It happens every single weekend we run a full backup. I thought maybe that slot was bad, so I moved the 3rd tape into slot 4. Same error occured.

I'm thinking maybe the database may be corrupted but I'm not sure. This error is strange b/c I could use that very same tape ArcServe tells me it cant find and use it for an incremental during the week and it works.

Anyone have similar problems?

Do a Quick Erase Plus on the tape and then it should be used next time around for the job.

I do quick erase plus the tapes each time the weekend backup rolls around. It doesn't matter. I dont know if the tapes are bad. I will first try a new tape. then go from there.
