Hi
I get "BAckup incomplete" due to following warnings (from activity log):
07.12.02 01:01:40 1130 W3404 Unable to open file. (FILE=C:\Program Files\ComputerAssociates\ARCserve\LOG\J0001070.LOG, EC=FILE NOT FOUND)
07.12.02 01:01:40 1130 W3404 Unable to open file. (FILE=C:\Program Files\ComputerAssociates\ARCserve\LOG\J0001072.LOG, EC=FILE NOT FOUND)
07.12.02 01:01:40 1130 W3404 Unable to open file. (FILE=C:\Program Files\ComputerAssociates\ARCserve\LOG\J0001074.LOG, EC=FILE NOT FOUND)
07.12.02 02:06:58 1130 W3404 Unable to open file. (FILE=C:\WINNT\system32\dhcp\j5001530.log, EC=FILE NOT FOUND) **
07.12.02 02:06:59 1130 W3404 Unable to open file. (FILE=C:\WINNT\system32\dhcp\tmp.edb, EC=SHARING VIOLATION)
07.12.02 02:08:12 1130 W3404 Unable to open file. (FILE=C:\WINNT\system32\wins\wins.mdb, EC=SHARING VIOLATION)
07.12.02 02:08:12 1130 W3404 Unable to open file. (FILE=C:\WINNT\system32\wins\winstmp.mdb, EC=SHARING VIOLATION)
Some .log files give error msg "FILE NOT FOUND", and some .edb and .mdb files give error msg. "SHARING VIOLATION".
**) The backup job has exclude filters like "C:\WINNT\system32\dhcp\*.log" and "C:\WINNT\system32\dhcp\backup\Jet\new\*.log".
I have just upgraded from build 1018 to build 1100 in an attempt to avoid the "FILE NOT FOUND" messages. Instead I now recieve also the "SHARING VIOLATION" messages. The configuration of the backup-up server has not been changed in any way (except of course the upgrading of the Arcserve sw) that could affect the backup.
Why will Arcserve try to backup files if they aren't there ? Why are "SHARING VIOLATION" msg's suddenly appearing? Why does Arcserve try to backup "C:\WINNT\system32\dhcp\j5001530.log" despite exclude filter "C:\WINNT\system32\dhcp\*.log"?
Please help me solve this problem.
Thanks,
Helge
