Site:
W2K server sp3 on multiple servers (2DC's) and W2K pro sp3 on the clients.
Situation:
Sometimes the (server)loginscript does not start (no drive mappings are processed). in about 80% of the logons everything goes well, 20% goes wrong, independent of workstation or user. We checked everything (all servers, AD, switches, etc. etc), but cannot find anything.

IT happens completely randomly, does anyone have a clue?

Regards, Ferdinand

Possibly you didn't copy the logon scripts to the netlogon folder of all servers? Then if it authenticates to the server without the script there is nothing to fire.

Check both netlogon folders and manually copy the scripts, problem may go away.

No, at all servers the same login script excists.

When a user logs in to a server called "dcserver" 10 times, all goes well about 8 times and the login script does not start about 2 times --> on the SAME server!!!
