Boy is my mind blown!

Here it is: 5 Worstations and 1 server connected to a Linksys Cable/DSL modem and then to the the cable modem.

All six PC's can obtain a dynamic IP and access the internet through the LAN. The 5 workstations can see each other on the LAN but the W2k server can't see them and they can't see the server.

Please help!

win2k server has many things that can prevent it to be normally on the LAN, try to shut down everything on the server such as DHCP, DNS, WINS. Alsao check all the protocols installed. Check the RRAS status. ALso try to give the server manual TCP/IP config, just to see if you can ping the other PCS.

Try a simpler config, maybe add IPX or even "better" NETBIOS to the server and client and then check connectivity. If this is OK then it will prove your IP setup is at fault.

Thanks everyone for your help. As it turns out, I simply needed to check the box that enabled NETBIOS over TCP/IP.
It was just a guess, but it worked. I am not that familier to NETBIOS.

THANKS AGAIN FOR EVERYONES HELP
