I have got a Win2K server with Networker 7.1.2. The Novell clients can not recover files, except the last full.
We have been with this issue for more than two weeks, at the begining we found the problem after upgrading the server from Networker 6.1.4 to 7.1.2. To resolve the problem we installed patches, we moved to 7.1.3 and same result. Last week we had problems with media database and we had to do a new installation. I am talking about 150 clients and 2.5TB/day. After installing all new, same problem, novell clients can not recover a browsable file. Novell clients are with differents versions 4.21 and 4.22. Anyone has an idea on this issue?.
Thanks a lot,

Make sure that you set the following environment variable on the NW SERVER:

NSR_SUPPORT_NETWARE_4X=1

Then restart the NW server

Hi 605,
First at all, thanks.
Yes, we have tried the environment variable, and it is not working. You can see on the daemon log "Support for netware clients is enabled" when a netware client established communication with the w2k server.
We have tried a lot and we are waiting for Legato support. Ill let you know any new.
Thank you.

We had a similar issue after moving to 7.2. The Novell servers would get "can't retreive volume information" every time they tried to "view required volumes". Legato sent new files ansrd ... nsrd ... etc. That too care of the problem.

Hi dominionvp, do you have more details about this issue? Or even a bugid?

The patch is LGTpa75831 .... it requires replacing nsrd ansrd nsrmmd nsrstage nsrclone ... a known issue.
