Update the drivers for your MotherBoard. 2k is probably sending incorrect instructions to MB. Good luck. -md

I'd suspect BIOS vs. Win2K power management settings as well. Had the same problem, fiddled with things and it took care of it. Of course I had CAUSED the problem through fiddling in the first place.
