Hi

I have just installed a w2003 small buisness edition on a new server and having the strange problem in which the server shut its self down. I am 100% sure it not hardware related (ie overheating) due to fact that dialog box appears informing that windows is about to shuutdown.

I have been told because I did not set up PDC then w2003 runs a default security setup which will shutdown the server!

Doe's anubody have any more infomation about this?

Thanks

Thanks for the help insyte but I have found the cause of my problem. Appently as I have windows small business server 2003 it has to be promoted to a domain controler within 7 days. If not then it seems to start shutting itself down! Nice feature microsoft!

Hope this info helps somebody else
