Hi Guys ,

Most of our ip phone are configured on zone 1 on the call server , and the vtrk is on zone 10 configured for BB (best band width) this is something that we will change to BQ (best quality G.711) do you guys know what is the relation between zone 1 typically configured on phones and zone 10 of the vtrk codec G.711 ?

Waiting forward to your reply .

Thanks !

So each zone has 2 policies interzone and intrazone, idea is you may set all BQ if you have the bandwidth, but if its limited you would set them according to your needs say

If you have 3 sites on a single switch and site C was a remote branch with limited Bandwidth you might set it
Site A phone zone 1 intra BQ inter BQ
Site B phone zone 2 intra BQ inter BQ
Site C phone zone 3 intra BQ inter BB

Site A to B G711
Site A to C G729
Site C to C G711
etc.

Same goes with trunks so if you have BB against the SIP trunk calls over it transit from Zone 1 to Zone 10 thus use the inter zone policy.

Think you,

Is that has something to see on call disconnected each time when trafic is high ?

Thanks !
