VTP server V2 mode cannot apply.

after typing:
#vlan database
#vtp v2-mode
when i type exit:
it says
"vlan 1003 parent VLAN missing, APPLY failed."

and i checked Vlan 1003, it a "tr" type.

Beiside my server and client cannot communicate, is it because the above problem?

That range 1000-1005 is reserved as token ring vlans thus the TR designation . Use something less than 1000 as the vlan number.

you know what, I did nothing to do with vlan 1003.
