vtp domain errors

i have 2 switches i am trying to connect. they are both 3560. i am running vtp in transparent mode and have both switches in different vtp domains. this is done for other reasons. i get a dtp-5-domain mismatch error. is there anything i can do to clear this up without having to put both switches in the same vtp domain?

Set the trunk mode to nonegotiate:

interface GigabitEthernet0/1
 switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
 switchport trunk nonegotiate

..plus the reset of your trunk config (native VLAN, allowed VLANs)

Try changing the vtp version- 1 or 2...any difference?

no either way it didnt matter

This should work, however try just removing the VTP Domain name, if you are running in transparent anyway the domain name does nothing.

Delete the VTP Domain the message will desapear. Regards
