Vscan 4.51 and cpu 100%

Sometimes the cpu goes to 100% with the vscan process

My system is wnt4 worstation, Vcan 4.51 (access scanner + mail corporate).

Suggestions ?

Hi,

Maybe it's your configuration of Mcafee.

If you have notch the box which allows scanner the mail, perhaps that at the time of a gross arrived of mail... Mcafee pushes your CPU with 100%

I have also had this problem before, I got round it by switching off scanning of outbound files, see if this helps.

Try SP1 for VirusScan 4.5.1...

Have a look at your thread timeout values aswell

Make sure that you do not have "All Files" selected. Choose either "Default Files" w/ the Compressed files ticked or just "User Specified Files only".
