Hello,
I use Visual Studio .NET 2003 Professional version at work.
I'd like to buy .NET for my home PC.
All I use is VB.NET and I'd like to use ASP.NET eventually.
What kind of functionality etc will I lose if I simply buy VB.NET 2003 Standard edition?
What are some of the differences between the full VS version and the VB standard edition?
Thanks,
Amber

no crystal (thats not bad
no class library projects, service projects (but you can make them and compile at the command prompt, more work but it works)
the wizards will only let you make a connection to access or msde (but who uses the wizards anyway).
and a couple of other things I forgot.

If I were to buy Crystal Reports 11, would it work with VB.NET Standard 2003?
Of so, in a similar manner to how CR 8.5 works within Visual Studio?

Thanks,
Amber

Don't know never worked with CR, sorry.

Yes the standalone version of crystal reports will work with vb.net standard. I believe you need the developer version.
