Does the head end BCM require a public IP addresses for each VPN tunnel (from a remote site)? Can/(how does) an IP phone at a remote site get a DHCP address from the head end using double nat'ing, VPN & DSL Internet?
Only one Public IP is required for any number of tunnels.
Typically, you would not point your DHCP clients to the main site. If it were a VERY small remote office, you could do that with something like an IP HELPER ADDRESS over a PRIVATE WAN. You would normally use a DHCP server at the branch, or statically configure the phones.
Hey thanks for the rapid reply. I can use the contivity router at the remote site for the DHCP, but do the phones need to be on the same LAN IP address scheme as the head end, even with the nat'ing?
