How do I set up a VPN on windows 2000?

Thanks ahead of time!!!

right click on the 'my network places' icon on the desktop, click 'properties', d-click 'make new connection', click 'next', hit the 'accept incoming connections' radio button, click 'next', DONT select anything in the window, click 'next', hit the 'allow virtual private connections' radio button, click 'next, place a check into the box next to each user you would like to allow access, click 'next', verify all protocols you will be using are installed and selected, click 'next', click 'finish'

thats it

in addition, make sure that if you are behind a firewall/router, that all necessary ports are forwarded to the VPN machine

Incoming Connection or RRAS

You can create an incoming connection on a computer acting as a remote access server if it is running Windows 2000, XP Pro. or if it is a stand-alone computer running Windows 2000/2003 Server. For large numbers of incoming connections on a computer running Windows 2000/2003 Server as a router or as a domain controller, or a member of a domain, you should use Routing and Remote Access to create a remote access server.
