Any help here is greatly appreciated - Thanks in advance!

We have a user who's vpn connection from home is causing me a headache.

What happens is that it connects ok - but after 4 mins exactly it disconnects without even an error message. When we try to reconnect it does so until after mins exactly again then disconnects.

Any ideas?? All our other VPN clients are ok and can connect for as long as they like.

Have you looked into the users's home infrastructure?
What type of client is he/she using? (PPTP, Cisco VPN CLient)
What type of DSL/Cable Modem does he have?
Who is his/her ISP?

Frank

Thanks Frank, will look into the specifics. I know she has PPTP as client.

Winoto - the user has exactly the same settings as other user - which all work fine.

Its got me stumped!

Jeremy-

Ok so she uses PPTP. Do you know what type of Cable/DSL Modem Router she is using in her home? Is it configured to allow PPTP through? I would also ask her to try it at another location provided its a laptop.

Without any logs, its difficult to troubleshoot.

Frank

If you are using windows 2003 sp1 and isa 2000 there is a hotfix for vpn
