Hi,
Havin a nightmare with dis one. Basically trying to config a vpn between 2 sites over a bri link. The bri bit is fine, and full connectivity is achieved between the 2 sites. When we try and setup the vpn things go wrong. Have tried "site-to-site IPsec" and "IPsec via GRE" but to no avail. These 1800s come with a web interface, and that has a "test tunnel" feature. Each time we test it passes all tests except for oontating peer??? Now to mention it, even without the vpn config, and full connectivity, we still cannot ping the ip of the bri interfaces (could this be a clue?). The firewall feature set has been disabled, and we got to the point of trying it without any ACLs, but still no joy.

Any help appreciated!

Many Thanks,

Malek

Malek,

Have you had any success in solving this? I am having the same type of issue with two 1811's.

Malek,

If you cannot ping the remote side BRI/dialer interface, then let's fix that FIRST. Then get the vpn connection working. Can you post your configs? (they might be rather huge for this forum, so, if you can, post it to an ftp server and paste a link in here for each config)
