Hi I am trying to use the VPN software to connect my home laptop to the office.

I have set the router to direct me to my desktop at work.
Set up my desktop pc and my home for VPN

Also they are on the same workgroup as I have been able to share files etc when my laptop is in the office.

when I try to connect it connects fine throu the VPN but I cannot see my work pcs shared files or if I check through workgroup computers it isnt shown there either?
Any ideas??

If trying to connect to the PC files by name \\myworkpc\fileshare you might try using the ip address instead \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\fileshare

Thanks for that but that still odesnt work, I would like to be able to map to a file that is on the server it carries the main copy of a datafile we need for our booking system to run.

It is this I need to be able to access so I can see the latest booking info.

Any ideas?

I was wondering are you able to ping anything when you connect with the VPN? Also have you sorted out your IP adresses?
