I would like to set up Cisco 831 Router in line with my existing D-Link router which is used for home network, for VPN connection only.

I am assuming this should seggregate two networks and function independently. The home network is currently set for 192.68.1.x address range. My D-Link Router is connected to Cable Modem.

Is there any specfic set-ups/changes. that I should consider within D-Link and/or Cisco 831 Router, so that I do not impact my LAN connections.

I have alreday got D-Link running within the Home Network. I was going to add Cisco 831 router to set up for home-office and dedicate to direct VPN connection.

My intention is to seperate the two networks, yet use D-Link router for all traffic from Cisco router plus Home Network.

I was just suggesting that you get rid of the DLink and use the 831 by itself---it will do all that you want PLUS more, without all the overhead and complicating everything with one router going to another router, especially when this is not necesary. Since you have cable for the internet, then you will still need the cable modem to do the PPPoA.
