Guys,

I have been struggling with this issue for a while and hoping smeone here can help.

I cannot seem to establish an ipsec tunnel with my zyxel router. My settings in the zyxel router and zyxel vpn client both match and are correct. When trying to connect, it show no error messages at all in the router logs.

It seem as though my router is not recieving any messages from the client.

I have contacted my ISP and they have said that no ports are being blocked from their end. I have totally removed the firewall in my router and still there is no messages in the router when trying to establish a tunnel.

Has anyone seen this before and can someone please advise

Thanks you

I am not sure if this will help...

I had a similiar problem a long time ago.

The fix was to go to the Properites of the connection entry you are using to connect to the VPN. There was a tab called: Transport. In that Tab I had to Enable Transparent Tunneling and switch to IPSec over TCP.

Hope this is a help.

Thank you for taking out the time to reply.

I finally got to the bottom of the problem and it was an unexpected solution.

In my router i had a 'service name' entered which was causing the issue as the VPN had no mention of a service name so no connection was being allowed. So i deleted the 'service name' in my router and left it blank and suprisingly it connected immediatley with my next attempt.

Now i need to find out why i cant ping my network!!

Thanks again.
