We have recently been asked to connect to a remote vpn system, connecting using windows PPTP client. It connects fine but...

Remote site is using same ip range as us.

example -
Both using ip range 10.0.0.1-200

when i try and ping/connect to any remote ip, it obviously searchs on our local lan.

Is there any resolution for this apart from changing ip range

TO save from having headaches. Change the range. Ive been down that route... or buy a router and nat one side and create a site to site tunnel.

I think so, looking into setting up a single machine to access the remote site, seems it might be infrequent use.

Problme is some of our application settings are ip based, and would require lots of changes.

Thats actrually a good idea. You could use terminal services for it so multiple users can connect. Do you have a DMZ on your Pix?
