Hey all,

I'm new to setting up VPN's and have ran into some trouble. I setup my Linksys router to forward port 1732 and port 47 to the server (I have a DSL connection), and installed PPTP and RAS on an NT 4 server. I can connect, but it is not able to register my computer on the network, and it is at this point that RAS Manager(on the NT server) crashes. The client is a 2000 pro machine, with a VPN connection setup. Currently, I'm not using any security (I know a big no no but I'm trying to test for connectivity as of now), and quite puzzled, to say the least. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

ITs not Port 47, Its GRE Protocol 47. Is that what you set up? Glenn

which service pack have you installed?
I have an identical setup to yours and mine worked the first time by following documentations from Microsoft, and forwarding port 47 and 1732.

cheers.
