I have a X1000 Edge firewall behind a 5mb fibre connection. At my remote locations I have a 5mb Downlink for some reason I cannot get a good connection .. The max transfer speed I can attain while downloading from Head office is 100kb a sec via ftp .. I should get at least 300kb .

Try using the general FTP rather using the proxy FTP. That slows down the speed.

was i not enough clear? I wanted you to check that in fireboc configuration not about the the way you use to acces.
In firebox configuration you have two option to add the FTP service either as a proxy or a simple packet filter. YOu need a packet filter for the same.
