VPN Through DSL and Cable Modem for BCM50

Nortel already did this. Check your BCM 50 documentation CD that came with your system. Chapter 13/14 of the BCM Integrated Router Configuration Guide explains how to do this.
BCM to BCM is straightforward if you follow the docs. I'm unsure if you're trying to go from a BCM to a Linksys. If so, I have no experience there.
You could also contact your vendor for support getting this set up.
