Hi Guys,

I need your help.

I want to set up a VPN whereby users can log on to our network remotely to check their e-mails and work with our accounting application. Earlier, I had accomplished this through terminal server. I installed the terminal server client software on a remote computer, and configured the firewall to point to our terminal server. However, I have been told that I need not use Terminal Server, but set up a VPN. Does anyone have documentation or steps on how to set up a VPN with watchguard. I have a firebox II, and i'm running watchguard firewall 6.2.

Any help is appreciated, as I am new to this.
Thank You.

We need more information about your environment. Are you going to be using software vpn client or a soho for the vpn? What are the OS's of the client and server? What kind of internet connection is connecting the two?

Don,

I also have a firewall 4500, vpn client access and the run terminal server to run all work applications. (It's much faster for modem users). They connect to the mail server via pop3 service, not as a part of the vpn. This is an older thread, let me know if all is well, for I can help a bit.
Thanks
