I have sucessfully connected to SBS 2003 using PPTP from an XP client, but cannot browse the network shares.

The local IP for the client is 192.168.1.102, the VPN IP is 10.100.100.2.

The local IP for the VPN server is 192.168.10.10 and VPN IP is 10.100.100.1.

The server is using AD, but not WINS. I do have the "Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP" checked. The server only has 1 NIC (actually 2, but the second is disabled and not connected to anything).

I cannot ping the server by name, but can by the VPN IP. I tried to connect to a network share by <IP>\<SHARE>, but it will not accept any usernames/passwords from the domain.

I have successfully setup several VPN servers using 2000 server with virtually the same configuration, but this is the first time with SBS 2003.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like a DNS issue...I'm a little rusty, but that may be a place to start. Have you checked your DNS settings/servers?
