I have a VPN phone with Juniper router. It works great, but when you are on a call the phone loses connection at 17 minutes into the call. I thought I read something about a condition like this but I have not found it anywhere. We are running 4.2.11.

In the ALG settings did you uncheck H323? Does the phone unregister or just the call drop?

Does it have something to do with the lifetime on the VPN?

I also have a 4610sw phone sitting ready in India that needs to be connected to a IPO sitting behind a SPEEDTOUCH ADSL router here in the Netherlands.

I ordered a seperate phone/ADSL line and am about to order a Juniper router.

Any tips or suggestions? My Avaya supplier doesn't know how to handle this and so I need to try it out myself.

Is there any user from The Netherlands that has experience and is willing to help setup?

I need to access the router to check. Unfortunately they locked down the router and I need to have them let me back in.

sjjan - I had a hard time finding a document that would cover the Juniper. In fact I found a couple that did not work. Go to Avaya.com, you can search for this document IPO-JUN-SSG5.doc . This was a great resource.

ALG H323 was unchecked. I believe it unregister's. I saw it happen once.

As for the lifetime, I couldn't find which one to change. I would have to create a new P2 Policy. The default timers for the P2 Policy is 3600 seconds (60 minutes).

Any ideas?

Creating a new P2 policy is not a big deal, just assign all the same parameters and change the 3600 seconds to something larger. I used 4 days I think?
Then change it in the VPN setup. You won't need to touch the phone at all.
