VPN Phone SG200 Gateway

I am looking for some assistance with the initial setup of a VPN phone.
I have recently purchased a SG200 with 6 4621sw VPN phones.
There was no docuementation with the devices so I downloaded some inofrmation from Avaya.com.

Now I am really lost, I tried connecting throught he console port and failed. I tried connecting to the device witht a cross over cable to the local address 192.168.1.1 and failed. The unit has power but I can not connect.

I am most likely doing something really basic wrong but what.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

dont know if you got the info that you needed, if not then try the following...

https://192.168.1.1

user: root
password: password

this should get you into the unit!
