VPN on Linux with Windows Client

Hi there is there anybody outhere who succesfully configured client windows 95/98/2K to access a Linux VPN???
i use VTUN, right know i'm trying "poptop"

having some problems but it looks like a good solution....i also saw freeswan but it looks like it doesn't work with VTUN...
Am i on the right track here??

I have a on Lynix Redhat 7 server.
was anybody able to run setup VPN on such server?
