VPN on a Cisco 1720

Hi everybody!

I´ve got a big problem. I guess it´s kinda basic!

I want to establish a VPN between two Cisco 1720 which will only let trough an echo!
The traffic should be encrypted!

I tried a lot with the acces-lists but had no success.

What access list do i need and how should they be applied to the interfaces.

The routers only have two interfaces one to the other router and the other to a net behind.

Can anybody help me?

have you tried to configure tunneling? Can you post some of the configs? Im not too familiar with the 1720 but have seen that Cisco has software VDM (VPN Device Manager) that is used to manage and configure site-to-site VPNs on a single device from a web browser; you can download it from Cisco site if you have the CCO logon.

I have the CCO Logon

I do actually lack proper configurations,
because i do not really know how to configure it.

It´s like walking through a fog.
Nothing clear all tries.

You may have to login then go to the link. Just curious, when you created the access-lists, did you apply them to the interface?? (ie., access-group bla,bla,bla)

Yes I did!

But I was just a bit confused about which Direction to choose and so, you know
I´m kinda newbie just learning i´m doing this for about 2 weeks

Just to mention:

The one you gave me was a tool to configure 7100 and 7200 series routers.

But I found a tool to configure all other routers(including my two 1700 series)!

It´s name is:
Cisco ConfigMaker v2.6
