SOHO with only the occasional VPN use, so we use the built-in service supplied with Server 2003, using a separate NIC for VPN, using PPTP.

Our VPN worked fine until recently, our firewall/router failed and since then I cannot VPN in. The firewall router had to be replaced. We have an external facing static IP number (for example 82.175.236.42) and this is what we use to use to VPN in. I have configured a rule to forward port 1723 to the VPN server but it still does not connect using the XP VPN client, either trying within our network or externally.

I appreciate it if any body can give some trouble shooting steps, as I said it sue to work fine, but the firewall/router has been replaced so I guess the finger points to this.

Apologies - ignore this post, I shall re-post in the correct forum.
