VPN login issues with exchange through outlook

Ok, this one really bothers me.
Have a user VPN into the network to access their mail through Outlook using exchange. Everything is set-up fine, has worked for quite a while, until this past weekend that is. Now, after VPNing into the network (which works fine) when open Outlook to retrieve messages, it prompts for the username/password/domain as per usual. But now it comes back saying the name/password is wrong, to check the information and try again. Odd part is that after the 4th/5th try, it logs fine and does it's thing. Someone please help on this one. Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, someone had gotten into our router and messed a little with the VPN connections. It was still allowing access to our network, but very limited. Also was some strange mirror-ing going on, but that's another issue all together. Thanks to any who viewed this post.
