You can use what ever subnets you want, just allong as you specific in the VPN setup what the remote network is.

ok i have a connection now between the two linksys BEFVP41 routers i am on the 192.168.10.0 en my friend is on the 192.168.1.0 network.
I cant ping his machine can someone tell me what to do now to reach his machine on 192.168.1.100 ?
I have enabled netboios broadcast on the routers.

I get the feeling i need to make static routes between the two subnets in the vpn routers that connect the networks.

lars linksys2 -> 192.168.10.1
linksys 1 = destination : 192.168.1.0 gateway 192.168.1.1 (vpn ip)

hans linksys 1-> 192.168.1.1
linksys 2 = destination : 192.168.10.0 gateway 192.168.10.1 (vpn ip)

Can someone tell me if this is correct please?
