I have a Microsoft VPN connection configure on a XP Pro SP2 Laptop. When the VPN connection was "connected" I could not get too the Internet. So I un-checked the 'Use Default Gateway on Remote Server' for the VPN connection.

Now I can browse the Internet, but can not get to the remote address's??

Does anybody know how to fix this?

Use the UCN name for the share you want to use; e.g. Start, Run, \\share_server\share_name. You can also use UCN names in a NET USE statement from a CMD box. But no, you cannot "browse" if you are not using the default Gateway unless you either use a WINS server or an LMHOSTS entry for the remote LAN.

bcaster....thanks for the quick response...

But I'm not trying to Browse to the remote network. I connect using the IP address. When I changed the VNP Properties for Default Gate. It does not let me connect to any of the remote IP Address?

\\148.126.0.6\Users......

Do you know what else I can try?
