I have an office proffessional in my office and a windows xp home edition at home . i have allowed incoming vpn connections allowed in my windows proffessional in the office through making new connections in the Network places.
Also the same way i have allowed for outgoing vpn in my home computer.
When i try to connect from home to the office an error appears.
But if i try to connect from another windows professional computer to another windows professional in the office itself, then it works.
Their is a PIX firewall in the office. Is that the one which is creating a problem.
If so what commands i need to add or is it something else.
Appreciate a quick response

You have to open the standard VPN ports 1723 for TCP and UDP in the firewall and point them to your 2000Professional machine for the VPN to work.

Learn everything but implement only what is needed.
