I have my W2K Server setup as a VPN server. I am able to connect within my LAN using a W2K Pro node. Whenever I try to connect with a XP machine over WAN, I am unsuccessful. I have setup my routers WAN address with a public IP. I have set forwarding to my LAN private IP, but not sure what ports to open up 1723 and ???? Do you think I have to upgrade my router?

VPN Connection with a Linksys BEFSR41 Router

have you fixed this issue yet. I have the same problem with a befsx41 linksys router. works fine in the lan, but from outside, it stalls on 'verifying your password'. netstat shows port 1723 sucessfully connected.
