VPN Connection - Reaching Firewall but then timing out

Hi all,

I have configured RRAS successfully but now when I use a client to connect it just pauses for ages on Verifying Username and Password and then times out.

I have added an inbound rule on my firewall to pass all traffic on 1723 to the internal IP on the RRAS server.

Any ideas what I have missed??

What kind of VPN are you establishing (PPTP or L2TP/IPSec)?

Hi there,

It is PPTP but I have also sorted this out now.

I had done everything correctly but I have shot myself in the foot because I was tested on an internal client PC. Once I tested externally it work straight away.
