I am having problems looging inot outlook when dialed into the server through Microsoft Vpn client. Keeps telling me i have invalid credentials. I can ping the server ip but not the name. I have Used LMhost file with no success, i have configured VPN to use DNS of network, and WINS. Stills tells me my log on is invalid. Any idea's.

Is the pc added to the domain that you are connecting to? If so ensure that your credentials are cached locally. (I am taking it that you are running win2000 or xp?) Also try logging in through dial-up. If you are using a win9x/me machine then cancel past the network log in while logging into windows. Just some tips, try listing more specifics

What I believe is happening is that when you log onto the remote pc, you are not logging on with the same credentials you use to log on to the domain locally. There are two ways you can accomplish this.

1. Log on the pc with credentials that reflect the domain or change the settings in your Outlook profile from Password Authentication to None in the Logon Network Security option located in the Advanced tab of your Outlook profile.
