VPN & Cached Credentials Issues 1

After establishing a VPN, the VPN client can access the mail system to receive/send mails but can't access other network resources.
When attempting to access a shared folder, the client is prompted again for the username and password.

It states that I'm already logged in and will not allow access.
However I can access a different accounts drive using their login and password, just not my own.
This appears to be a cached credentials issue, I just not sure how to work around it.

Thanks in advance,
Jim

Bill,
First of all I probably made a few mistakes.

I didn’t have any luck with Net Use. I kept getting a network not found error. I study this more in the future.

Anyway, I went back and added a login to the Passwords and .Net Passwords.
I would say with your registry fix and the addition of the password profile it is acting just like it should.

Do you agree with the addition of the password profile under the “Passwords and .Net Passwords” being the correct approach?

Thanks again for all of your help!

Take care,
Jim

It is a reasonable one to take.

I am glad things appear to be looking up for you and your VPN use.

VPNs are tricky, but very much worthwhile as a vehicle for remote connections.

Happy Thanksgiving wishes to you and yours.
Bill Castner
