I am networking a Mics 6.1 with a Succesion 1000, using MCDN codes, DTI Cards, PRI Enabler etc... Customer wants to use VPIM for messaging on their network for the MICS side of things. Any tips on setup, basic requirements and functionality/useage for the users on the Mics portion and the users on the Succesion portion for the VPIM application. Is there a setup or readme config I could go to for more info? Any help is appreciated, even in partial.

They will need a NAM with a NIC running at least 3.0 software.
Or a CallPilot 100/150.
CallPilot is the preferred application.
You will need a VPIM keycode for the CallPilot.
Once enabled you will also require keycodes for the additional network mailboxes you intend to create.
CallPilot 2.0 will max out with 300 local subscriber mailboxes and and 100 additional network mailboxes.
NVM maxes out at 1000 mailboxes (you should use 4.1 software if you intend to do this).
You create a network mailbox for each remote user on the Succession. A subscriber mailbox for each local user.
VPIM/SMTP prefixes are used for remote sites and map to the IP address of the remote VPIM application.
This works great if you are using CDP or UDP dialing plans.
Especially easy if you use CDP and each site has a unique leading digit DN schema.

Good luck it's pretty simple once you dive in.
Just make sure you have at least oneDNS server on your network and you create A records for each mail application.
