Customer says when on a conference call, the parties can here each other well, but not him. Is there somewhere in programming to change volume from 3db to 6 db.
mics 7.0xc
Thanks

Are you sure that the problem is not that the parties cannot hear each other? That is a known problem with all analog trunk to trunk transfers.

Go into the Line setting and set them for LONG CO this will bump the volume up a good bit. Usually helps. Otherwise you will need to set up a conference bridge of some sort. All POTS line to POTS line conf calls experience a volume drop, regardless what system you are using

The problem was that the parties could not here each other.
Set the lines for long co. Thanks for the help.

I can't seem to find Long CO.. seems some of our employees are having the same problem on conference calls, they can talk to 1 person just fine but once they connect the third party(he can hear them fine till he adds them to the conference), they can't hear them.

Im currently 3.1(65).. could upgrading help? looks like I will have to upgrade soon anyway since I had already upgraded manager but downgraded to 3.1 due to another problem.. power went off a few days ago and apparently a system running 3.1 wont pull config from 3.2 manager.. lost config and had to manually send a backup..

Woops Sorry wrong forum. no wonder. this came up in a search and didnt see that it was nortel and not avaya.. sorry..

Under programing,Lines ,shownext till you get to loss pkg: then change till you get what you need...

I've had this problem at 2 locations. I had the LBOC check the loop loss and found all lines out of spec. A voice grade line should measure between -3.0 to -5.0db of loss. Our lines were measuring from -8.0 to -12.0db of loss. LBOC was able to move the lines to fiber with -2.9db of loss....problem solved.

Order Conference from your telco on the lines and then you can do it thru the CO. Conference with the KSU and 2 lines has always been a problem when using loop lines. Sometimes it works and a lot of the time it dosnt.
