Is anyone else seeing complaints of volume issues?

I've got a client with 9600 series phones who is complaining that the volume on one call will be so low that the user has to raise their volume setting to the max. Then the next call comes in and it's too loud...

Then another client with 2400 series digital phones claims their speakerphones are almost unusable due to them being too quiet...

Just curious if anyone else is running into this...

YES, I have the same problems with 2420 phones. Lately most of the complaints are that people they are talking to cannot hear them. I cannot find and references in the docs about adjusting the microphone, only speaker handset and headset.

At times the microphone is so sensitive that it cuts in while you are listening if you rustle papers so you don't here the other person. But other times they cannot hear you.

We were on firmware 3 in the 2420 phones and updated to 4 with no difference. There is another new firmware out now that I am going to test (rev 5).

yes, 2410 & 2420 FW5 has AGC (Automatic Gain Control), and improves the speakerphone. headset and handset performance. Give it a try :)
