I am running the latest version of QuickTime Pro on Windows Vista Ultimate. I'm trying to convert a short .mp4 file to .mov.
It's working fine, except that the new .mov file has the volume defaulting to 0 (as is apparent when I export a media link and also when I embed the file in a web page--the embed tags are not able to override the setting, so the user has to manually turn the volume up from zero each time). I can't seem to find a settable option in QuickTime to change this. . . any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

I worked it out.
The original files were mp4s, and when I "save as" .mov in QuickTime it includes the volume=0 setting (not sure why). However, if I "export" as .mov, it does not include that setting.
