We have four control units with firmware version 4.2 and a fifth Expansion Module 1 with firmware version 6.2

Am I right in thinking I just need to purchase an 'VoIP End License' x 1 in order to enable the VoIP SIP settings so I can connect my single VOIP Phone?

Thank you,

That depends on a couple of things. First, do any of your systems have VCM modules? This is needed for the conversion of signalling and voice to VOIP. At that software level, (if memory serves me right), the VCM channels also need to be licensed.

Peter,

Your IP Office must have a VCM Module. If You have 406v2/412 You will have full access to all VCM channels installed. If you have 500v1 You get the first 4 VCM channels for free on a VCM 32/64. You would need VCM license for additional VCM channels.
Additionally you will need a SIP TRUNK license(s), depending on how many SIP channels will be used at once.

Hi,

Sorry, I am not sure where I am looking at for the 'VCM Module'.

We have the following control units:
IP 500 (Version: 4.2)
DIGSTA8/PRIS U (Version: 4.2)
PHONE8/PRIS U (Version: 4.2)
PHONE8 (Version: 4.2)
ANALOG POTS30V2 (Version: 4.2)

Does this answer your questions? Failing that, where can I see via the software if we have VCM Modules?

Thank you,

it does answer the question
you do not have a VCM installed

if you want to add SIP trunks or IP handsets I would recommend you take the opportunity to upgrade.
I suggest you contact a competent installer/maintainer for a full recommendation on hardware & licences Req.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Thank you all (IPGuru, Andrepa and Integrationman2),

Would I need to upgrade to the 'IP 500v2'?
