Hi... I am having problems (or I think I am) with creating VoIP extension in my SCN system.

My network:

3 - IPO 500 V2 - SCN - running 7.0(36)
Site A - primary system with PRI trunks & VMailPro
Site B - secondary system connected to Site A via PtP T1s
Site C - secondary system connected to Site A via PtP T1s

Both Sites A & B have Avaya IP endpoint licenses

All three sites have the H323 Auto-Create Extn feature checked on System/Lan1/VoIP setting.

When I create a VoIP extn and user on Site B. After the merge, I have an additional extn created on Site A (pointing to the user on Site B) and I get a duplicate extn error because there is an extn on both Site A and Site B pointing to the user on Site B. The only way to resolve the problem is to delete the extn on Site B. If I delete the extn on Site A, it will just re-create itself.

Is this just a matter of unchecking the Auto Create Extn box on each of the System/Lan1/VoIP settings? I have not tried unchecking these boxes as it required a reboot.

I would think that Site A would see the extn is on Site B and not try to auto-create it. Will unchecking the Auto Create resolve this? or should I just let all of the VoIP phones that reside on the Site B subnet to create themselves on Site A and not worry about it.

Thanks for your help!

Jeffrey

Yes uncheck auto create H.323 extension, also on site B why is the point to point ti going to site A instead of going to the main site?

Thanks SmokinJoe.... I didn't want to just try the uncheck, since it required a reboot of the IPO... but I'll give it a try now...

and Site A is the main site... Sorry if I didn't make that clear!
