Can someone tell me what the USB port is for on these phones..??

Do you prefer the i200x phones over the 11xxE or vice versa..??

We are about ready to start installing VoIP phones and we are trying to make a decision on which device to go with.

We use a lot of 2500, 2008, & 2616 phones at alot of our sites with about 300 M303's & 4's.

Thanks in advance.

The 11xxE phones are nice because they have the RTCP XR agent in the phones that can respond to exceeded thresholds on the QOS issues (not sure if the i200x have the agent).

So, if you have a product that is monitoring QOS on the Network then when the user defined QOS thresholds are exceeded the monitoring product can query the phones and receive statistics on the metrics and assist with troubleshooting any complaints you receive.

Also, in my humble opinion the look and feel of the phone is a lot nicer. It looks more like an IP phone. So, it should impress the Execs. and make them feel good about the money they are spending.

We are looking at the same phones for installation in our first small leap into IP in about the next 6-12 months. After you install let us know how they work.

The USB port on the phone support mice and keyboards and devices that emulate them, such as card readers that emulate keyboards. These can be used to make it easier to access applications on these phones. The 1140E also supports bluetooth headsets which is a nice feature. The screen is also backlight and the 1120 and 1140 support grayscale so they can display graphics, also to enable applications on the phones.

Does anybody know how to enable/disable bluetooth feature on the system. Because the docs for the 1140E states that if you click twice on the headset button the blutooth menu will appear. But if the text appear dimmed the feature is not enabled on the phone and that you have to contact a system administrator to enable it.

But I can't find anything in the docs stating how to enable this feature...

I will answer my own question...

If you double click on the globe key. You will under the network configuration find "enable bluetooth". Then you are able to double click the headset key to setup the bluetooth on the phone.

In order to make this work, make sure you have the latest fw for the phone on the ss and mc32.
